Karlsplatz

Two Jugendstil pavilions facing each other designed by Otto Wagner in 1899 for the Stadtbahn. One now provides entry to the U4 underground line, the other is a café.

The green roofs and ornamental decorations blend in with the Karlskirche which lies beyond them. The white marble façade is decorated with golden sunflowers. The graceful curved lines of the roofs are most impressive.
