
| The first coffee houses opened in Vienna in 1683 after the Turkish siege. By the late 19th century they had become lively meeting places for artists, authors, poets, composers, doctors, officials, and political groups.
The better coffee houses will give you a glass of tap water with your coffee to cleanse your palate. |
